WHAT WE DO

The Polkemmet Beekeeping Association (PBKA) is a group of local West Lothian, amateur beekeepers, of varying experience from "newbee's" to seasoned well stung heroes who provide active supportive mentorship to all. 

Membership

Annual Membership of the association is £15 with a further £5 cost to maintain a hive in one of our apiaries. 

As a member you can benefit from:

  • the experience and knowledge of other members.

  • bulk discount obtained as an association from beekeeping equipment suppliers through consolidated purchasing.

  • Insurance though the associations affiliation with the Scottish Beekeepers Association.

Apiaries

We operate from two apiaries located in Polkemmet Country Park, and Beecraigs Country Park, where members can optionally locate their hives. Access to the apiaries are restricted for health and safety considerations to members and their supervised guests.
